Cheat voor Simpunten voor Levenslange Beloningen
Money vroeg gisteren of er een makkelijke cheat was voor het krijgen van Simpunten waarmee je weer Levenslange Beloningen kunt kopen. Op YouTube staat een video over deze cheat:
1. Open in het start scherm de cheat box (Ctrl+Shift+C) en typ dan testingcheatsenabled true
2. Laad een opgeslagen familie
3. Ga naar de UI waar je de Levenslange Beloningen vindt en als je Ctrl ingedrukt houdt en daar met je muis klikt krijg je per klik 500 Simpunten.

Het werkt, maar je moet wel Shift + Ctrl ingedrukt houden en dan met je muis klikken. Het duurde even voordat ik dat in de gaten had.
GameZ magazine komt met Sims 3 review
Het 3e nummer van het GameZ magazine schijnt in de winkels te liggen en heeft een review van Sims 3 erin staan. Kun je het magazine niet in de boekwinkel vinden en wil je hem toch echt hebben: op deze pagina van GameZ vindt je informatie over hoe je het magazine thuis gestuurd kan krijgen.

2e hands Sims 3 kopen geen goed idee?
Een interessant artikel op deze pagina van Gamertell over de vele pogingen van een Sim fan om zijn 2e hands (legale) versie van Sims 3 geregistreerd te krijgen.I decided to try to make contact with one of EA’s press representatives, to try and get an official statement and advice from EA concerning options for users who purchased used copies of The Sims 3. Unfortunately, a press representative from EA could not be reached to comment on EA’s stance concerning used copies of The Sims 3.
Voorzover ik weet kun je met een serienummer maar 1 keer registreren, met andere woorden maar 1 user account aanmaken. Als je dan als koper van een 2e hands versie het spel probeert te registeren, en registratie geeft toegang tot de vele online mogelijkheden, is EA lastig en kan het dagen duren en veel heen en weer gemail van allerlei gegevens, zoals het serienummer, dat het erop lijkt dat EA bewust de registratie van 2e hands games frustreert.
De ervaringen op Gamertell zijn niet met de Nederlands EA support maar als er Sim fans zijn die deze ervaring ook met EA Nederland hebben horen we dat graag.

Welke Sims 3 uitbreidingen zullen we krijgen?
Dat is een vraag die de Engelstalige IGN zich ook heeft gesteld en ze hebben goed gekeken naar de releases voor Sims 1 en Sims 2. Het hele artikel vindt je op deze pagina van IGN.
De eerste geruchten over een uitbreiding doen al lang de ronde: het zou een uitbreiding worden voor banen en hobbies maar daar is door het Sims 3 team nog geen woord over losgelaten, ook niet over Sims 3 Stuff Packs. IGN verwacht de eerste uitbreiding begin 2010: ik denk dat dat eerder herfst 2009 gaat worden.

As you can see, there are some similarities across The Sims and The Sims 2. Hot Date and Nightlife introduced downtown areas. Then again The Sims 3 already has a "downtown" area that you can visit, but it could be fleshed out. After all, where are the night clubs? Animal companions are also a theme across both The Sims and The Sims 2 with Unleashed and Pets, and that seems like an obvious course. Meanwhile, vacations seem to be a trend with Vacation and Bon Voyage.
It's worth noting that The Sims 3 already has some of the content that was introduced in these expansions, such as gardening and fishing. Meanwhile, it's possible to head for the beach in either town in The Sims 3, though Riverview's beach is nowhere near as spectacular as Sunset Valley's. Plus, The Sims 3 is very different in scale than its predecessors; mainly in that you can go anywhere in town without hitting a load screen. So does that mean if there's a University-type expansion for The Sims 3 then all the new university buildings get incorporated into an existing town, or will there be the need to create an entirely new neighborhood or town?
Finally, EA now has a delivery system capable of introducing new content apart from expansions. The Sims 3 Store is already up and running, and odds are that you've already spent some (if not all) of the 1,000 SimPoints that EA gifted you by registering. You can buy more, of course, at the rate of about $1 for 100 SimPoints, plus taxes. But the store is a way to purchase new items, clothing, hairstyles, and more from EA. We can imagine the store supplementing the expansion packs, but not replacing them. After all, the expansions have been extremely lucrative for EA, judging from the way The Sims has dominated the sales charts for most of the past decade. Why go away from them now?

What are the biggest obstacles you faced in creating the game and the biggest success?
We really wanted to be a cohesive experience that appeals to many different types of players. One of the biggest challenges was creating a new Sims experience that would appeal to both new players as well as Sims fans. Whether it was the open town or the creativity tools like Create a Style we wanted to make sure that it was intuitive and captivating. One of the things that constantly amaze me is how much depth and richness the game has. I’m still finding moments (like when I discovered that flirty Sims are better at writing Romance Novels) where I find myself laughing and wanting to give kudos to everyone who worked on the features. I love how interconnected everything feels.

Tijden geleden alweer is op de officiële Sims 3 YouTube pagina de Sims 3 Live the Dream wedstrijd begonnen en vanaf vandaag kun je je stem uitbrengen op jouw favoriete video.
Vreemd genoeg zijn er slecht 4 video's geselecteerd die mee doen en alle 4 hebben we ze op dit blog al laten zien.

2 nieuwe tools voor Sims 3

The Sims 3 Simple Install Tool for Custom Content Creators offers to include the Sims 3 Custom Content in an easy installation file and players can obtain their downloads straight in the right directory.
Moreover the player has no need for any previous installation, because files provided with Sims 3 Simple Install will run unattended and automatically on a users system.
Sims 3 Saves Backup
City save files can become corrupted due to very different reasons! The Sims 3 makes backups from cities, but in not all cases your neighborhoods can be successfully restored by the game. This means, that a backup tool for your neighborhoods is mandatory, because soon or later you can meet a messy neighborhood saves file.
As well if you have to re-install the game it will help you to restore your neighborhoods which you have backed up with it before.
If you have downloaded any (custom) city, you can install it with this tool in the right place with the option “Integrate City”.

Het leven van 2 zwervers in Sims 3 - update
De dagboeken van Alice en Kev, 2 zwervers die in het spel proberen te overleven, zijn weer flink geupdate en nog steeds de moeite waard om te lezen. Ze hebben nu zelfs hun eigen Twitter.
