Geen Securom in EA Download manager voor Sims 3

Na de open brief van Rod Humble over Securom in Sims 3 (zie dit blogbericht) was er nog wat onduidelijkheid of Securom in de EA Downloader zou zitten.

Maxoid Drea heeft net in dit topic op de Amerikaanse Sims 2 BBS gezegd dat dat niet het geval zal zijn:

After reading the letter from Rod, many of you had questions about SecuROM. I've taken your concerns to our management team and can confirm that SecuROM will not be included in The Sims 3 disc or in the EA Download Manager (software needed to install patches and access The Sims 3 Store).

De EA Downloader heb je nodig om straks Sims 3 te patchen of toegang te krijgen tot de Sims 3 Store.
